December 30, 2015

Friends! Happy new year! What a year it has been for my little blog, and it wouldn’t be anywhere without you and your enthusiasm for healthy, plant-based, wholefood recipes!

To celebrate, I’ve compiled a round-up of the 15 most popular recipes from 2015 as chosen by you (and your page views)! Please tell me in the comments below if you’ve made any, your feedback and, of course, what sort of recipes you’d like to see in the new year! Or let me know if your favourite recipe wasn’t included here!

Thank you for cooking along with me and for all your support and inspiration this year. And here’s to 2016! It’s gonna be great! Xx ✨

5. Turmeric Pumpkin Soup with Coconut and Limeturmeric pumpkin soup with lime and coconut
Turmeric was popular this year, and for good reason! This anti-inflammatory and immune boosting soup saw us through the cold and flu season, but was made equally for its deliciousness as well as its health benefits! Definitely one of my favourites this year, and so quick to make! (Gf, V, RSF)

6. Warming Turmeric Teawarming turmeric tea
Another turmeric star! This golden milk recipe is warming from the inside-out and has just enough peppery kick to give you a glow through winter. Simple and delicious! (Gf, V, RSF, P)

12. Chipotle Black Bean Tortilla Soup with Cashew QuesoChipotle Black Bean Tortilla Soup with Cashew Queso

A simple, foolproof guide to making amazingly creamy, yet light, chia pudding. Customisable and the perfect breakfast. (Gf, V, RSF, P)

14. Black Rice and Chia Puddinghomespuncapers_BlackRicePudding1
A riff on the Balinese classic dish, this coconut milk black rice pudding works well as breakfast as well as for dessert. Added chia for protein, this pudding is both warming and evocative of a tropical island! Best of both worlds! (Gf, V, RSF)

15. Hummingbird Cupcakes with Lime Coconut CreamHomespun Capers - Hummingbird Cupcakes
Hummingbird has always been one of my favourite cakes – and this healthy alternative doesn’t lack in flavour or texture. A spiced banana cake, studded with pineapple and pecans, and topped with a lime coconut cream. Perfection.

I made some mini banoffee cheesecake for my nephew’s birthday. Like you mentioned, it took less time and we got a lot of cakes. Plus, it was a total crowd pleaser.
