Things I Love (Jan 2016)

January 30, 2016

Happy Summer! It’s been a bit of a slog getting back into work after the holidays, my birthday and all the celebrations that came along with it. I’m definitely ready to curb the indulgences a little and make healthy meals more of a priority after all these treats! This time of the year I also feel like I need to tighten the purse strings a little. Luckily wholesome plant-based cooking is most often also frugal cooking, so it’s a win-win!

This past month I’ve been loving the fresh produce I get from my CSA box (Ceres Fair Food, in Melbourne) including these gorgeous cherry tomatoes in the photo above. I made a sourdough culture from scratch using the recipe by Chad Robertson of Tartine in San Francisco – it worked but I need a bit more practice on the dough making front! I’ve also been learning some new computer software as well as the new camera I was gifted from my parents for my 30th – we all know there’s no point is having something fancy if you don’t know how to get the most out of it!

Let me know if you have any requests for recipes, I love hearing from you via email and of course you can always follow me on my beloved Pinterest to see what recipes I’m collecting, or connect with me on Instagram or Facebook.

Now here’s the list!

Did you know the United Nations declared 2016 the year of the pulse? About time they got their time in the sun! <3
